Review: Fruit of My Spirit by Deanna Nowadnick

It’s been a while since I read a memoir that is so down to earth and moving. In Fruit of My Spirit: Reframing Life in God’s Grace (Rhododendron Books, 2012), Deanna Nowadnick ‘s voice is easily relatable to most readers’ personal and spiritual struggles.

In life, we constantly face trials and tribulations that, often, leave us feeling unworthy of God’s love, mercy, and forgiveness. When these feelings of inadequacy are combined with the roles and responsibilities of motherhood and family, the everyday events of life can seem insurmountable.

Deanna takes the reader on a personal journey by revealing the most intimate aspects of her life –and her walk with Christ- in ways that give the reader hope, inspiring us all to stay strong in the Lord.

Rev. Dr. Robin J. Dugall describes Fruit of My Spirit as “…part Bible study, part memoir, part confessional”.  I call it a tool, inspired by God to reach others who might be struggling with the overwhelming issues of living in today’s world.

Fruit of My Spirit: Reframing Life in God’s Grace (Paperback, Kindle)can be purchased online at and Barnes and Noble or direct from the publisher.
